Swing Seal Butterfly Valves

Wear-resistant butterfly valves with inflatable seals are produced in wafer and lug types with pneumatic actuators and with silicone, EPDM, NBR or SBR seals depending on the fluid properties. Butterfly valves with inflatable seals are preferred in pneumatic conveying lines with a short “H” height if other valves are not suitable for construction. It tolerates wear with its flexible gasket, they do not lose their tightness immediately like standard butterfly valves. They are used in mining, cement, building materials and other process lines.
Since the butterfly valve disc with inflatable seal is smaller than standard flaps, it does not damage the seal during opening-closing. When the valve is commanded to close, first the throttle returns, then the gasket inflates and surrounds the throttle, ensuring full tightness with the inflated gasket surrounding the throttle. When the command to open is given, first the pressure of the gasket is exhausted and then the valve is opened.
